From Trash Fish CLE/People Over Petro IG post
A floating bottle with bite marks…
A flash of polymer scales…
Bessie - the legendary lake monster - is fed up with ingesting plastic.
So fed up she’s willing to be seen for the first time in decades.
🐉💧Built by artists and made with plastic pulled from the river by @trashfishcle, cheer on a life-size floating Bessie as she returns to her homewaters of the Cuyahoga to rally for a plastic pollution-free Cleveland. Join science, community, and health leaders as we resist Ohio becoming a “gateway” for the plastics industry and encourage our civic leaders to come to the table around REAL solutions. Because, let’s be honest: plastic is the real monster here.
