Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Underwater Drone Probes Cleveland's Lake Erie
/Great Lakes environmental science matters!
This week our friends at Argonaut gave us a heads-up on an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) being deployed yesterday into Lake Erie by a team from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI).
Owen Cesarano, a robotics engineer for WHOI, provided a BUNCH of detail on the AUV work they are doing in concert with NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory researcher Steve Ruberg.
