Given recent news reports about the Center Street Swing Bridge being closed indefinitely, we decided to check out the 116 year old bridge for ourselves. We had heard it was back in operation and the approach of the Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder after the Cleveland Browns home opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers seemed a perfect time to catch the bridge in action.

We got more than we bargained for when a drunken Steelers fan decided to take a closer look at the Pathfinder by jumping a chain link security fence and climbing on to the bridge. His climb back over the security fence included a predictable dismount. Folks, don't do this at home or you'll end up having a conversation with the Cleveland Police Department.
