If you've visited Cleveland's riverfront recently and had the good fortune of a freighter coming through at the same time, you've been treated to a phenomena known as a Gullnado. As a freighter makes its way up and down the Cuyahoga River, its large prop and bow thrusters create turbulence that brings small fish to the water's surface. Seagulls being the world class scavengers they are, are only too willing to accept the assist and swarm the area for an easy meal. It's quite the sight - and sound, especially in winter's silence.
