2019 Head of the Cuyahoga Photo Gallery

The Cuyahoga River’s hard-working waterfront provided a great backdrop for Cleveland Rowing Foundation’s annual Head of the Cuyahoga Regatta, a 3.1 mile rowing race that drew close to 2,000 athletes to Cleveland on Saturday. The Cuyahoga’s curvy course places a premium on taking a proper line through four large turns and local rowers used that knowledge to their advantage.

Many thanks to the race volunteers, Cuyahoga River stakeholders, and safety personnel who helped ensure a fun day on the river. It’s a fitting end to the summer that commemorated the 50th anniversary of the 1969 Cuyahoga River fire. The HOTC Regatta is a great reflection on the comeback Cuyahoga (and Cleveland).
