Cleveland's Tomorrow is Here Today

Having had 36 hours to reflect on Sunday night's historic NBA Finals Championship win by the Cleveland Cavaliers, several things struck us.  First, we went slightly off Cleveland waterfront format when we rode the Cavs wave but we did our best to graft some Cuyahoga River and Lake Erie DNA onto our Twitter posts

As we absorbed the impact of the Cavs' historic comeback from a 3-1 deficit to win Cleveland's first professional sports championship since 1962, we couldn't help but think larger forces were at work, to wit:

- The Cleveland Cavaliers weren't even in existence when the 1969 Cuyahoga River fire happened.

- Sunday night's Cavs championship win happened on the eve of a once-in-a-generation astrological event, the summer solstice and the strawberry moon.

- The Cavs championship parade in downtown Cleveland on Wednesday is happening on the SAME day as the anniversary of the 1969 Cuyahoga River fire.

Let's let this video do the talking - Cleveland, the tomorrow you've been working towards is here today.
